Think Carefully when donating over the phone

Everyday I get phone calls from call centres asking to donate monies to their worthy causes. The problem is I can't get proof whether these are legitmate callers from non-profit organisations or scammers. Never give your personal details to a complete stranger. Find out as much as you can from these groups. Get the phone number, web address form the charity organisation they are calling on behalf for. Always ask to speak to their supervisor.

Do the checks dont't get caught.

Unfortunately, there are legitmate Charity organisation's trying raise a buck so that they can help those in need of their service.

It feels good to help someone in need.

The sad faces on the nightly news when a 'Natural' or 'Man Made' disaster occurs my heart always goes out. People so helpless in situations that are not fault of their own by having the misfortune of being in the a place at the wrong time. How can we help? We can volunteer our time to help these people and their families. We can donate in many ways, money, cars, clothing, food, bed linen, toys and houses. Its just finding the right organisation that will help us do this. STOP, asking what is it I can do, JUST DO IT! Make the time.
